United States Pergola · Last updated October 1, 2026

This explains what United States Pergola does with the information you give us, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who this is about

United States Pergola is a division of United States Awning Company, 1935 18th Street, Sarasota, Florida 34234. This policy covers unitedstatespergola.com and explains what happens to information you give us here, in plain terms rather than legal ones.

We are a pergola manufacturer and installer. We are not in the business of collecting or selling personal information, and we do not sell it to anybody.

What we collect when you fill in a form

Only what the form asks for, which is what we need to call you back and quote the job: your name, phone number, email address, the address or city where the work would go, what you are interested in, your timeframe, how you heard about us, and anything you write in the message box. If you use the 3D pergola designer, the design you built is sent too: the size, structure, roof type, finish, accessories and every dimension that came off the model, along with a picture of it.

Nothing is required beyond a way to reach you. If you would rather not put something in a field, leave it out and we will ask if we need it.

What we collect automatically

When a form is submitted we also record which page it came from, the time, and the approximate city, state and country the request came from, which our hosting provider works out from the network connection.

Separately, we count how pages are used so we can tell which ones are worth improving. That means a tally of how many times each page was opened, how far down it people scrolled, and which site they arrived from. These are counters and nothing else: no cookie, no identifier, no way to link one page view to another one, and no way to connect any of it to you. We could not tell you what any individual person did on this site even if we wanted to, because that is not what is stored.

That describes what we collect. The Meta pixel, if you allow it, is a different matter and is covered below.

Cookies and tracking

The site sets nothing optional until you say it can. When you first visit you get a banner with three choices, and nothing in the analytics or advertising categories runs until you accept it. If you decline, those scripts never load at all. You can change your mind any time from the Cookie Settings link in the footer.

There are three categories:

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a no to both analytics and advertising and do not show you the banner at all.

Measuring our advertising

When somebody completes a form after accepting advertising cookies, we tell Meta that a conversion happened. Some of that is sent from your browser by the pixel and some is sent from our own server, because browser tracking is often blocked and the counts come out wrong. Meta matches the two so one enquiry is not counted twice.

The server-side half follows the same rule as the pixel: if you did not accept advertising cookies, nothing about you is sent to Meta either way.

Where contact details are included, they are hashed before they leave us, which means Meta receives a scrambled version it can match against its own records but cannot read back.

Customer and lead lists

We may upload a list of our customers and enquiries to Meta so we can avoid advertising to people who already bought from us, and so Meta can find people who look similar to our customers. Contact details are hashed before upload, the same as above.

If you would rather not be included in that, email us and we will take you out. We will not ask you why.

Who else touches your information

We keep the list short on purpose. Each of these is a company we pay to do one specific job, each is bound by contract to use your information only for that job, and all of them store it in the United States:

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to other contractors or lead buyers. If you want to know exactly which companies these are, ask us and we will tell you.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for 3 years and then deleted. Pergola projects often sit for a season or two before someone is ready, and we would rather still have your details when you call back than ask you to start over.

If you want yours removed sooner, ask and we will do it.

Your choices

Whatever state you are in, you can ask us to:

Email [email protected] and we will deal with it within 30 days. There is no form to fill in and we will not make you create an account to ask.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted connection, enquiries are stored in a database that is not reachable from the public website, and the page our team uses to read them requires a sign-in. Access is limited to the people who need it, and we can revoke somebody immediately when they no longer do.

No system is perfect and anybody who tells you otherwise is selling something. If something ever went wrong in a way that affected you, we would tell you.

Children

This site is for people buying pergolas for their home or business. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change how any of this works we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is a significant one, such as adding a new service that receives your information, the cookie banner will ask you again rather than assuming your old answer still stands.
